Answer with Explanation:

We are given Avogadro's constant =6.0221367\times 10^{23}mol^{-1}

There are eight significant figures.

We have to round off.

1.If we round off to four significant figures

The ten thousandth place of Avogadro's constant is less than five therefore, digits on left side of ten thousandth  place remains same and digits on right side of ten thousandth place and ten thousandth place  replace by zero.

 Then ,Avogadro's constant can be written as

6.022\times 10^{23}mol^{-1}

If we round off to 2 significant figures

Hundredth place of given number is less than 5 therefore, digits on left side of hundredth  place remains same and digits on right side of hundredth place and hundredth place replace by zero.

Then,Avogadro's constant can be written as

6.0\times 10^{23}mol^{-1}

If we round off six significant figures

6 is greater than 5 therefore, 1 will be added to 3 and digits on right side of 6 and 6 replace by zero and digits on left side of 6 remains same except 3.

Then, the Avogadro's constant can be written as

6.02214\times 10^{23}mol^{-1}

If a student flicks a stationary 0.1 kg ball with 5N of force for 0.1 seconds. What is its final
Alisiya [41]

5m/s

Explanation:

Given parameters:

Mass of ball = 0.1kg

Force on the ball = 5N

time taken = 0.1s

Unknown:

final speed of the ball = ?

Solution:

According to newton's second law "the net force on a body is the product of its mass and acceleration".

  Force = mass x acceleration      equation 1

Acceleration =

  V is the final velocity

  U is the initial velocity

  T is the time taken

 U = O since it is a stationary body;

      a = \frac{V}{T}

Input "a" into equation 1

  F = m x \frac{V}{T}

 5 = 0.1 x \frac{V}{0.1}

 V = 5m/s

The acceleration of a moving vehicles is 10 metre per second square what does it means
pochemuha

Answer:

Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity. What is commonly said as ‘ten meter per second squared’ can bee broken down into ‘ten meter per second per second.’ This gives us the true meaning of the term acceleration.

Just like ‘ten meter per second’ means increasing the displacement by ten meters every second, ‘ten meter per second per second’ means increasing the velocity by ten meters per second every second.

So, basically if you consider the case of a free fall motion, where ‘t’ stands for time and ‘v’ stand for velocity at that instant:

At,

t=0, v=0 m/s

t=1, v=0+10 m/s;

t=2, v=0+10+10 m/s;

t=3, v=0+10+10+10 m/s;

This can also be thought as a Arithmetic Progression where common difference ‘D’ is the acceleration(a), since it adds a 10 m/s to velocity every second and the first term ‘A’ stands for the initial velocity (u). Using this approach we can derive to the first equation of motion:

v = u + at

Hope this Answer Helps!!

A parachutist of mass 20.1 kg jumps out of an airplane at a height of 662 m and lands on the ground with a speed of 7.12 m/s. Th
Klio2033 [76]

Answer:

1.30\cdot 10^5 J

Explanation:

The energy lost due to air friction is equal to the mechanical energy lost by the parachutist during the fall.

The initial mechanical energy of the parachutist (at the top) is equal to his gravitational potential energy:

E_i=mgh

where

m = 20.1 kg is his mass

g=9.8 m/s^2 is the acceleration due to gravity

h = 662 m is the initial heigth

The final mechanical energy (at the bottom) is equal to his kinetic energy:

E_f=\frac{1}{2}mv^2

where

v = 7.12 m/s is the final speed of the parachutist

Therefore, the energy lost due to air friction is:

\Delta E=E_i-E_f=mgh-\frac{1}{2}mv^2=(20.1)(9.8)(662)-\frac{1}{2}(20.1)(7.12)^2=1.30\cdot 10^5 J
