I think these two variables are sufficient to completely specify the state.

In an isolated room with air only ,the volume is fixed.Mass ,density and its specific volume can be easily known.

Other thermodynamic properties like entropy, enthalpy etc are also fixed at a given temperature & pressure.

Fynjy0 [20]

Answer:

Explanation:

The question here is that if sneezy hands from a similar rope while delivering presents at the earth's equator, what will be the tension in the rope be. Here is the solution:The tension on the rope when it is at pole, T= 455 NTo find, the tension, t= mgTo solve for mass, m= t/g. Substituting this we have, m=455/9.8. m=46.43 kgAssume that the downwards acceleration is, a= -46.43 m/s^2.T = mg + maT = (46.43 kg) ( 9.8 m/s^2) - (46.43 kg) (-46.43 m/s^2)T = 455.01 kg-m/s^2 - -2155.74 kg-m/s^2T = 2610.75 kg-m/s^2 = 2610.75 N

How is conduction affected by different factors
Lapatulllka [165]

Answer:

The process of heat conduction depends on four basic factors: the temperature gradient, the cross section of the materials involved, their path length, and the properties of those materials.

A cat starts to walk straight across a 100-meter-long field to her favorite tree. After 20 m, a dog sees the cat and chases it a
AleksAgata [21]

Answer:

8 seconds, Answer choice C.

Explanation:

The information they give us about the speed of the cat, is from the point at which the dog started chasing it (that velocity being 10 m/s).

Notice that the actual distance the cat run is: 100 meters minus 20 meters (100 - 20 = 80 meters). Therefore, we have information on the distance covered by the cat (80 meters), and its speed (10 m/s), so we can use the definition of speed to find the time it took the cat to get to the tree:

speed=\frac{distance}{time} \\10 \frac{m}{s} = \frac{80\,m}{time}\\time=\frac{80}{10} s=8 \,s

Since all units for the physical quantities involved were given in the SI system,  the answer comes also in the SI units of time: "seconds"

A ski jumper starts from rest from point A at the top of a hill that is a height h1 above point B at the bottom of the hill. The
Illusion [34]

Answer:

v_i = 44.3 m/s

Explanation:

As we know that here no friction force is present on the skier so we can say that total mechanical energy is conserved here

so we will have

\frac{1}{2}mv_i^2 + mgh_1 = \frac{1}{2}mv_f^2 + mgh_2

now we will have

h_1 = 0

v_f = 42 m/s

h_2 = 10 m

now we have

v_i^2 = v_f^2 + 2gh_2

v_i^2 = 42^2 + 2(9.8)(10)

v_i = 44.3 m/s
