It was about China’s anti-imperialist movement where students made numerous demonstrations in Beijing in 1919. The reason behind it was that China’s government allowed Japan to receive territories in Shandong. It was a weak move that sparked national protests because the Treaty of Versailles was not respected by the Chinese government. </span>
