Answer:

5(x +2) + 10x = 115

Number of nickels = 9 and dimes = 7

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the number of nickels a man has = y

and dimes = x

Then by the statement of the question we can form the equation as

y = x + 2------(1)

(.05)y + (.10)x = 1.15------(2)

By multiplying equation 2 by 100

5y + 10x = 115-----(3)

Now we put the value of y from equation 1 in the equation 3

5(x + 2) + 10x = 115

5x + 10 + 10x = 115

15x + 10 = 115

15x = 105

x = 7

y = 7 + 2 = 9

Number of nickels = 9 and dimes = 7

5(x+2) + 10x = $1.15

7 dimes and 9 nickels

70 (7x10) cents and 45 (9x5) cents = 1.15

Can someone help on a construction of a tangent to a circle please, need pictures if possible
Anit [1.1K]

Wassup

Steps:

1. Draw a line connecting the point to the center of the rectangle

2. Then construct a perpendicular bisector to the line drawn in step 1

3. Place the compass on the midpoint of the line, adjust its length to reach the end point, and draw an arc across the circle

4. Where the arc crosses the circle will be the tangent points. So connect the endpoint to the tangent point

Hope the picture helps you too

What do you do to check whether a number is rational or irrational? In your explanation, use an example of an irrational and rat
nordsb [41]
You have a good response. The only critique I can think of is to reduce the size of that massive decimal number. It doesn't have to be huge as long as it's a random string of digits. For example, e = 2.71828182846... is irrational since it has no pattern in the decimal portion. The decimal portion also goes on forever.
