Answer:

D. 3

Step-by-step explanation:

In the Point-Slope Formula, <em>y - y₁ = m(x - x₁)</em><em>,</em><em> </em><em>m</em><em> </em>represents the <em>rate of</em><em> </em><em>change</em><em> </em>[<em>slope</em>], which in this case is 3.

y+1=3(x-4)

Multiply the bracket by 3

y+1=3x-12

Follow y=mx+b Move +1 to the other side. Sign changes from +1 to -1

y+1-1=3x-12-1

y=3x-13

Slope=m = 3

b= y-intercept=-13

Answer: Slope=m=3- D.

I need help....Does anybody know the answer?
Alex_Xolod [135]

Answer:

4/5

Step-by-step explanation:

8/15 = 8/15

3/5 = 9/15

2/3 = 10/15

11/15 = 11/15

We see that the pattern is that the terms increase by 1/15 as they move up.

Thus, the next term in the sequence is 12/15, which can be simplified to 4/5.

Let me know if this helps!

A recipe for spaghetti sauce requires 4 bottles of ketchup to make 2 gallons. How many bottles of ketchup are needed to make 10
frosja888 [35]

For 10 gallons of sauce, we need 5 times as required for 2 gallons, therefore we need 4 * 5 = 20 bottles of ketchup.

Factorize the following algebraic expression:
Hoochie [10]
X^2+16-38=0
find what 2 numbers multiply to get -38 and add to get 16
find factors of 38
2 times 19
there is no way to use common factor so use quadratic formula which is
x=\frac{ -b+\sqrt{b^2-4ac} }{2a} or x=\frac{ -b-\sqrt{b^2-4ac} }{2a}

ax^2+bx+c=0 subsitte
a=1
b=16
c=-38
subsitute
\frac{ -16+\sqrt{16^2-4(1)(-38)} }{2(1)}=\frac{ -16+\sqrt{256+152} }{2}= \frac{ -16+\sqrt{408} }{2}= \frac{ -16+2\sqrt{102} }{2}=-8+\sqrt{102}
so the answers for x are -8+\sqrt{102} and -8-\sqrt{102}  which are aprox -2.099504938362 and +18.099504938362
so it would be
(x-[-8+√102])(x+[8+√102])=0

A sandwich costs 5:70 and a piece of fruit costs 2:15 if you have a 20 bill, how much change will you get ?
Gelneren [198K]
Well if you buy only 1 of each, it would cost you 7.85 in total. if you subtract that from 20, it equals 12.15.
you can also make it a linear equation if you want more or less than 1 fruit and or sandwich
s=sandwich
f=fruit
5.7f+2.15f=20
