Answer:

The volume of the cylinder = π r² h

where r is the radius of the cylinder and h is the height of the cylinder.

This is formula is applied for the right cylinder as figure 1 and oblique cylinder as figure2.

The volume of the cylinder of figure 1:

r = 6 and h = 7

volume = π r² h = π * 6² * 7 = 252π units³

The volume of the cylinder of figure 2:

r = 11 and h = 15

volume = π r² h = π * 11² * 15 = 1,815π units³

Lissie set a goal to save $320 for a new computer. So far she has saved $112. What percent of her goal has Lissie saved so far?
Mariulka [41]
These are false. Tami will need to work 11 weeks to get to her goal. To find out this problem, first take out the 100 from the 320 which then gives you 220. Then divide 220 by 20 which gives you 11. 1 is wrong because Tami does not have to work more than 21 weeks to get to her goal. 2 is also wrong because Tami does not need to save more that 11 weeks to get to her goal, she has to work 11 weeks only.

Which of the following sets is NOT closed under addition.
Veronika [31]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The odd numbers.

Suppose you have 31 and 27 when you add these two together, you get 58 which is not an odd number.

If you need a more mathematical proof, you could do it this way.

2x+1

2x is even. Anything multiplied by 2 is even. When you add 1 you get an odd number

So continue on

2y + 1 is the other number.

2x + 1 + 2y + 1 = 2(x + y) + 2

2 (x + y ) is even. When you add 2 to it, nothing changes. The result is still even.

Explain the transitive property in words that a child could understand.
madreJ [45]
The transitive property is a chain rule for the variables a, b and c.

It states that if a is equal to b and b is equal to c then a is equal to c.

If a = b and b = c then a = c.
