The person who answer before is correct but i can explain how to get the answer. For number 1 look at the point where it is graphed (-2) notice how it is a shaded circle (unlike number 2 where it is white) so you would have > with a line underneath. It would be > because thats the direction in which the line is going. For number 2 it would be x<-2 because the arrow is going to the left so it <, it would be -2 as thats where it has been plotted and, it would NOT have a line underneath the symbol because the circle is not shaded. Hope this helps you understand better for the future!

Anna35 [415]

Answer:

8428

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the Question,

  • Given, A theater has 56 rows of seats. If there are 13 seats in the first row, 18 in the 2nd row, 23 in the 3rd row.

We have a number sequence  13, 18, 23, ...

  • We can say that this is an arithmetic sequence because of the common difference 'd', is equal to 5, and the first term 'a1' is equal to 13.
  • The formula for the sum of an arithmetic sequence with n terms is given is S_n= \frac{n}{2} [2a_1+(n-1)d]S .

Substitute the given values into the equation to solve for the sum of the 56 rows of seats.

S_56= \frac{56}{2}[2(13)+(56-1)(5)]\\S_{56}=28\left[26+275\right]\\S_{56}=28\left[301\right]\\S_{56}=8428

Therefore, there are 8428 seats in all.

Prove :<br>sin²θ + cos²θ = 1<br><br><br>thankyou ~
Gnom [1K]

Answer:

See below

Step-by-step explanation:

Here we need to prove that ,

\sf\longrightarrow sin^2\theta + cos^2\theta = 1

Imagine a right angled triangle with one of its acute angle as \theta .

  • The side opposite to this angle will be perpendicular .
  • Also we know that ,

\sf\longrightarrow sin\theta =\dfrac{p}{h} \\

\sf\longrightarrow cos\theta =\dfrac{b}{h}

And by Pythagoras theorem ,

\sf\longrightarrow h^2 = p^2+b^2 \dots (i)

Where the symbols have their usual meaning.

Now , taking LHS ,

\sf\longrightarrow sin^2\theta +cos^2\theta

  • Substituting the respective values,

\sf\longrightarrow \bigg(\dfrac{p}{h}\bigg)^2+\bigg(\dfrac{b}{h}\bigg)^2\\

\sf\longrightarrow \dfrac{p^2}{h^2}+\dfrac{b^2}{h^2}\\

\sf\longrightarrow \dfrac{p^2+b^2}{h^2}

  • From equation (i) ,

\sf\longrightarrow\cancel{ \dfrac{h^2}{h^2}}\\

\sf\longrightarrow \bf 1 = RHS

Since LHS = RHS ,

Hence Proved !

I hope this helps.

Scale of a model airplane to the actual airplane is 1 inch equals 10 feet. How many times longer the actual plane is than the mo
WINSTONCH [101]

Answer:

120 times

Step-by-step explanation:

If we want to find a qunatity is how many times as other quantity, we have to divide the large one by the small one (remember, same units).

Let's make both into inches.

We have 1 inch [model]

also

10 feet * 12 = 120 inches

Thus, we can say:

120/1 = 120 times

So, Actual Plane is 120 times than model airplane

Answer:

29.787%

Step-by-step explanation:

The computation of the percentage that spend on yellow pages is shown below:

= Yellow pages ÷ Total advertising cost

= $700 ÷ ($700 + $600 + $650 + $400)

= $700 ÷ $2,350

= 29.787%
