Answer:

y ≥ 1

Step-by-step explanation:

The given line is a horizontal line.

The equation of a horizontal line is y = a, where "a" is a constant.

Here the horizontal drawn at y = 1.

Therefore, the equation of line is y = 1

The solution is shaded above the line, therefore, it is y > 1

The line is a solid, therefore, the inequality that represents the solution is y ≥ 1

Answer: D) y ≥ 1

Two sides of an isosceles triangle measures 26 and 10. What is the possible value of the third side?
spin [16.1K]

The third side of the triangle is 26.

Explanation:

Given:

Two sides of the isosceles  triangle are 26 and 10.

To Find:

The possible value of the third side

Solution:

Definition of Isosceles  triangle:

An isosceles triangle is a triangle with (at least) two equal sides. Isosceles triangle  has both two equal sides and two equal angles.

We also know the property of the triangle that

Sum of two sides of triangle > third side of the triangle

Case1. When third side is 10

Thee third side can’t be equal to 10 because it does not follow the rule of triangle

10+10>26………which is  not possible

So the third side of the isosceles triangle is 26.

Find the cosine ratio of angle ?. hint: use the slash symbol ( / ) to represent the fraction bar, and enter the fraction with no
Andru [333]

We are given that the angle a is the right angle. So let us work from this.

ab = 12 (the vertical side of the triangle)

bc = 13 (which if drawn can be clearly observed to be the hypotenuse) = the side opposite to angle a

ca = 5 (the horizontal side of the triangle)

Since we are to find for the cosine ratio of angle c or angle θ, therefore:

cos θ = adjacent side / hypotenuse

cos θ = ca / bc

cos θ = 5 / 13

Check out the attached image below for the illustration of the triangle.
