Answer:

x=3

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1-  You Subtract  5 from 17 and get 12 the equation now looks like this

4(x-3)=12

Step 2- You Distrubute  by taking the 4 and multiplying it by the x and 3

4(x)= 4x and 4(-3)=-12  The equation now looks like this  4x-12=12

Step 3- You now add 12 to -12 to cancle it out and you add 12 to the 12 behind the = sign and you get 24 you equation now looks like this 4x=24

Step 4-  You put 4 under 4  and 4 under 12 as shown 4/4 and 12/4 so you get ride of the 4 so only x is left on that side. 12/4= 3. You are left with x=3  So there is your answer.

Find the first three terms of the sequence below.<br> T, = n2 + 2n +9
NikAS [45]

Answer:

12, 17, 24

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the first 3 terms, substitute n = 1, 2, 3 into the rule, that is

T₁ = 1² + 2(1) + 9 = 1 + 2 + 9 = 12

T₂ = 2² + 2(2) + 9 = 4 + 4 + 9 = 17

T₃ = 3² + 2(3) + 9 = 9 + 6 + 9 = 24
