since the triangles are similar

angle DEC = 60 degrees

3 angles inside a triangle equal 180 degrees

BAC = DCE = 64

CBA = EDC = 56

DEC = 180 -56 -64 = 60 degrees

used angle-angle theorem

Answer:

m\angle DEC=60^{o}

Step-by-step explanation:

We have been given a diagram of two triangles, in which line AB is parallel to CD and BC is parallel to DE.

We can see that \angle DCE is corresponding to \angle BAC as both angles are formed on the same side of parallel lines AB and CD and transversal AE, therefore,m\angle BAC=m\angle DCE.

We can see that \angle EDC is corresponding to \angle CBA as both angles are formed on the same side of parallel lines BC and DE and transversal AE, therefore, m\angle CBA=m\angle EDC.

Upon Substituting our given angle measures we will get,

64^{o}=m\angle DCE

56^{o}=m\angle EDC

Since the sum of all the angles of a triangle is always 180 degrees, therefore, we can find measure of angle DEC by equating the sum of angles of our given triangle with 180.

m\angle EDC+m\angle DCE+m\angle DEC=180^{o}

56^{o}+64^{o}+m\angle DEC=180^{o}

120^{o}+m\angle DEC=180^{o}

m\angle DEC=180^{o}-120^{o}

m\angle DEC=60^{o}

Therefore, the measure of angle DEC is 60 degrees.

Janet is designing a frame for a client. She wants to prove to her client that m∠AGE ≅ m∠CHE in her sketch. What is the missing
Amiraneli [1.4K]

Answer:

I believe the answer is transative property. I'm currently taking the test so I'm not 100% sure if I'm right yet.

Step-by-step explanation:

In step one, AGE and HGB are verticle angles since they are opposite of each other. then step two is alternate interior angles because they are interior angles opposite of each other, self-explanatory. the reason I choose the transitive property over the corresponding angles theorem is because the transitive property states: among A B and C, if A=B and B=c then A=C and in this case since AGE=HGB andHGB=CHE then AGE=CHE. I hope this helps and if you know the right answer just put it in the comments, if I'm wrong ofc.

Two ants, red ant and black ant, creeping along lines in 3-space. At time t, red ant is at point on the line
mylen [45]
A. The distance between the red ant and the black ant is five units.

To represent the red ant,
xr = 3 - t
yr = 2 + 2 t
zr = 6 + 2 t

To represent the black ant,
xb = t/2
yb = 2 + 3 t
zb = 2 + t

To calculate,
at t = 0
xb - xr = -3
yb - yr - 2-2 = 0
zb - zr = 2-6 = -4
Therefore,
d = √(9+16) = √(25) = 5

b. There will be no collision between the two ants.

To calculate,
3 - t = t/2
6 - 2t = t
6 = 3t
t = 2

If t = 2,
2 + 2*2 = 2 + 3*2
