I believe your question is "What are the basics of Architecture?"

Answer:

Architecture is all about<em> people, places and things.</em>

Explanation:

In order to learn about the answer, let's tackle them one-by-one.

First, architecture is the art or practice of designing or constructing building. The basics are pretty simple.

1. People- this refers to the <em>designers, builders and users.</em> This means architecture is all about those who make architecture and those who use it in order to make conscious decisions. It is all about building an environment for people, thus it focuses too on builders. These environments are catered to users. For example, designing a safe place for disabled people.

2. Places- Traveling is very important in order for you to learn the different kinds of architectures in every country. It is, thus, very significant to know<em> where one will build his plan.</em> It is said that <u>"the power of place"</u> can be everlasting.

3. Things- this refers to the <em>built environment</em>. An example of these are the skyscrapers. These are considered to be the "things" that architects design in order to truly scrape the sky. In architecture, one needs to learn what structures and style he wants for his house, church, school, building and the like.

A 1.5-m-long aluminum rod must not stretch more than 1 mm and the normal stress must not exceed 40 MPa when the rod is subjected
Pavlova-9 [17]

Answer:

the required diameter of the rod is 9.77 mm

Explanation:

Given:

Length = 1.5 m

Tension(P) = 3 kN = 3 × 10³ N

Maximum allowable stress(S) = 40 MPa = 40 × 10⁶ Pa

E = 70 GPa = 70 × 10⁹ Pa

δ = 1 mm = 1 × 10⁻³ m

The required diameter(d)  = ?

a) for stress

The stress equation is given by:

S = \frac{P}{A}

A is the area = πd²/4 = (3.14 × d²)/4

S = \frac{P}{(\frac{3.14*d^{2} }{4}) }

S = \frac{4P}{{3.14*d^{2} } }

3.14*S*{d^{2}} = {4P}

{d^{2}} =\frac{4P}{3.14*S}

d=  \sqrt{\frac{4P}{3.14*S} }

Substituting the values, we get

d=  \sqrt{\frac{4*3*10^{3} }{3.14*40*10^{6} } }

d=  \sqrt{\frac{12000 }{125600000  } }

d=  \sqrt{9.55*10^{-5}  }

d = (9.77 × 10⁻³) m

d = 9.77 mm

b) for deformation

δ = (P×L) / (A×E)

A = (P×L) / (E×δ) = (3000 × 1.5) / (1 × 10⁻³ × 70 × 10⁹) = 0.000063

d² = (4 × A) / π = (0.000063 × 4) / 3.14

d² = 0.0000819

d = 9.05 × 10⁻³ m = 9.05 mm

We use the larger value of diameter = 9.77 mm

Consider three charged sheets, A, B, and C. The sheets are parallel with A above B above C. On each sheet there is surface charg
babunello [35]

Answer:

0.

Explanation:

To find the electrical force per unit area on each sheet we start defining our variables,

\sigma_A = -4.10^{-5}C/m^2

\sigma_B= -7.10^{-5}C/m^2

\sigma_C = -3.1^{-5}C/m^2

We find the electric field for each one, this formula is given by,

E= \frac{\sigma_i}{2\epsilon_0}

Substituting each value from the three charged sheets, we have

E_A= \frac{-4.10^{-5}C/m^2}{2\epsilon_0}(\hat{j})

E_B= \frac{-7.10^{-5}C/m^2}{2\epsilon_0}(-\hat{j})

E_C= \frac{-3.1^{-5}C/m^2}{2\epsilon_0}(\hat{j})

The electric field is

E_{NET}= E_A+E_B+E_C

E_{NET}=\frac{-4.10^{-5}C/m^2}{2\epsilon_0}(\hat{j})+\frac{-7.10^{-5}C/m^2}{2\epsilon_0}(-\hat{j})+ \frac{-3.1^{-5}C/m^2}{2\epsilon_0}(\hat{j})

E_{NET} = 0

Force on each sheet is,

F=E_{NET}\sigma ds

F=0

The total force is 0

Suppose a consumer advocacy group would like to conduct a survey to find the proportion p of consumers who bought the newest gen
Anvisha [2.4K]

Answer:

a) Sample size = 1691

b) 95% Confidence Interval = (0.3696, 0.4304)

Explanation:

(a) How large a sample n should they take to estimate p with 2% margin of error and 90% confidence?

The margin of error is given by

MoE = z \cdot \frac{\sqrt{p(1-p)} }{\sqrt{n} }  \\\\

Where z is the corresponding z-score for 90% confidence level

z = 1.645 (from z-table)

for p = 0.50 and 2% margin of error, the required sample size would be

n = \frac{1.645^{2} \cdot 0.50(1-0.50)}{0.02^{2}}  \\\\n = \frac{0.6765}{0.0004}  \\\\n = 1691\\

(b) The advocacy group took a random sample of 1000 consumers who recently purchased this mobile phone and found that 400 were happy with their purchase. Find  a 95% confidence interval for p.

The sample proportion is

p = 400/1000

p = 0.40

z = 1.96 (from z-table)

n = 1000

The confidence interval is given by

CI = p \pm z \cdot \sqrt{\frac{p(1-p)}{n} } \\\\CI = 0.40 \pm 1.96 \cdot \sqrt{\frac{0.40(1-0.40)}{1000} } \\\\CI = 0.40 \pm 1.96 \cdot 0.01549 \\\\CI = 0.40 \pm 0.0304 \\\\CI = 0.40 - 0.0304 \: and \: 0.40 + 0.0304\\\\CI = (0.3696 ,\:  0.4304)

Therefore, we are 95% confident that the proportion of consumers who bought the newest generation of mobile phone were happy with their purchase is within the range of (0.3696, 0.4304)

What is Confidence Interval?

The confidence interval represents an interval that we can guarantee that the target variable will be within this interval for a given confidence level.

Within a cubic unit cell, sketch the directions of [012], [721], [110].
exis [7]

Answer:

[012]  :

Here x component is zero. That is why this is  in y- z plane

[721] :

This is  in  all three plane .It means it is in space.

[110]  :

Here z component is zero.

That is why this is  in x -y plane

From the cubic unit directions we can easily understand all given directions  [012], [721], [110].

Explain orthographic<br>and multi-view<br>projection
Elina [12.6K]

Answer:

Orthographic projection is a projection method to present three-dimensional shapes in two-dimensional format in which the projection lines are drawn to be orthogonal to the plane of projection, such that each view of the three-dimensional object is translated to a view of the orthographic projection and orthogonal to the view

A multiview projection is the representation of a three-dimensional projection by two or more two-dimensional views
