Answer: x=35

Step-by-step explanation:

There are 720 degrees total in a hexagon. So, all of the angles should add up to that. Write out the equation

720= (4x-5)+(117)+(3x-3)+(3x+6)+(118)+(4x-3)

720=14x+230

490=14x

x=35

hope this helped you:)

Nataliya [291]
4a + 7b = 38 -> (1)
9a + 7b = 68 -> (2)

Subtract (1) from (2),

Ryan runs 3 miles in 28 minutes. at the same rate, how many miles would he run in 42 minutes?
Sphinxa [80]
If 3mile=28 min
x mile=42 min
cross multiply
x=3/28
therefore if 3/28=1 min
then x mile= 42 min
cross multiply
42 x 3/28 =21 x 3/14
                =3 x 3/1
                =9
The answer is 9 miles

serg [7]

Complete question is;

Roger and Rita each drive at a constant speed between Phoenix and San Diego. Each driver’s distance for the same section of the trip is displayed below. Who had a head start, and how many miles was the head start?

A) Rita had a 28-mile head start.

B) Roger had a 26-mile head start.

C) Roger had a 25-mile head start.

D) Rita had a 22-mile head start.

Answer:

A) Rita had a 28-mile head start.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's assume that Roger travelled a distance of 60 miles

And that;

Rita travelled a distance of 32 miles

We are told that they travelled between Phoenix and San Diego.

Thus, it means that if they have different distances but covered same section of the trip, it means the one with higher distance started before the section of the trip.

Thus, it means that Rita had a head start of Roger since she covered only 32 miles.

Thus;

Rita had a head start of; 60 - 32 = 28 miles
