Both the Mayflower Compact and the US Constitution Preamble are a form of a social contract signed by a series of individuals that create a new government.

Explanation:

The Mayflower Compact is an agreement that was signed by all adult males which they decided to create a “Civil Body Politic” that would pass the laws that were just and equal to the good of the Colony.

The US Constitution Preamble also has the same purpose, they say that the people of the United States established the Constitution to establish justice, domestic tranquility, common defense, and general welfare.

he Mayflower Compact was written and signed by the first colonists to arrive in the Plymouth Colony. Its purpose was simply to serve as an agreement for the male representatives to obey the law which was in line with the English crown. The US Constitution was written centuries later after the Americans had broken away and won independence from the British. It also outline laws and guidelines for the government as it outlines powers and limits of government
