People can survive if without food for 8-21 days yet it would be better to just eat minimum amount of calories than starve one's self. It has been suggested that women should eat 1200 calories daily while men can eat 1500 calories as the minimum in a day. To maintain weight, women can have 1600-2400 calories daily while men 2000 to 3000 calories a day.
Whether we use the 5 step or 7 step model of grief, hurt and inadequacy are not stages in the process-- so we ruled out C and D. Depression typically involves feelings of hopelessness and helplessness-- as if we cannot deal with the loss.
