Your answer is 35 because you do 35 divided by 50 which equals 0.7 starting from the decimal, move two spaces to the right and you will get 70%

Your boss gave you a raise. Your weekly salary went from $375 to $450. What was your percent raise?
Yuri [45]
1. Find the difference
2. Divide the difference by the original number it went up from.

450-375 = 75

75/375 = 0.2

You got a 20% raise.

Proof:
375*.2 = 75
375+75 = 450

Please help soon!!! Will mark brainliest!!!
BartSMP [9]

REVISED ANSWER.

In the picture, I have drawn on the example given. the RC and PD are the same because They are across from each other perfectly. So the answer is still PD=400m but if there can be two answers then I would have to say another possiblity would be 200m for the diameter of the pond. The wording of this problem is tricky and the picture can throw you off a bit but I did my best to answer properly here.

So if you could mark brainliest that would be awesome.

R leaks out of a barrel so that the rate of change in the water level is proportional to the square root of the depth of the wat
Irina-Kira [14]
Let y(t) represent the level of water in inches at time t in hours. Then we are given ...
 y'(t) = k√(y(t)) . . . . for some proportionality constant k
 y(0) = 30
 y(1) = 29

We observe that a function of the form
 y(t) = a(t - b)²
will have a derivative that is proportional to y:
 y'(t) = 2a(t -b)

We can find the constants "a" and "b" from the given boundary conditions.
At t=0
 30 = a(0 -b)²
 a = 30/b²
At t=1
 29 = a(1 - b)² . . . . . . . . . substitute for t
 29 = 30(1 - b)²/b² . . . . . substitute for a
 29/30 = (1/b -1)² . . . . . . divide by 30
 1 -√(29/30) = 1/b . . . . . . square root, then add 1 (positive root yields extraneous solution)
 b = 30 +√870 . . . . . . . . simplify

The value of b is the time it takes for the height of water in the tank to become 0. It is 30+√870 hours ≈ 59 hours 29 minutes 45 seconds
