Answer:

\boxed {\boxed {\sf (5g^2+2)(2g-5)}}

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given the expression:

10g^3-25g^2+4g-10

There are no common factors between the four numbers, however the first two have a common factor and the last two do too. Therefore, we can factor by grouping.

Group the first two terms and the last two.

(10g^3-25g^2)+(4g-10)

Find the greatest common factor (GCF) of the first group. It is 5g². Factor it out of the first group. You can do this by dividing both terms by the GCF.

  • 10g³/5g²= 2g
  • -25g²/5g² = -5

5g^2 (2g-5) + (4g-10)

Repeat with the second group. The GCF is 2.

  • 4g/2 = 2g
  • -10/2= -5

5g^2 (2g-5) + 2(2g-5)

There is another GCF: 2g-5. We can factor this out of both terms.

  • 5g²(2g-5)/2g-5= 5g²
  • 2(2g-5)/ 2g-5=2

(5g^2+2)(2g-5)

This cannot be factored further, so it is the answer.

Ed is 7 years older than Ted. Ed’s age is also 3/4 times Ted’s age. How old are Ed and Ted?
leva [86]
Let Ted be x.

Ed is 7 years older =  x  + 7

Ed = (3/4)Ted

(x + 7) = (3/4)x

x + 7 = 3x/4

x - 3x/4 = -7

x/4 = -7

x = -28,           Ted = -28 years

(x + 7) = -28 + 7 = -21,      Ed = -21 years.

Goodness. We had negative numbers for the ages, well does that make sense?  No it doesn't.

Our answer is correct. But the sense in the question is lacking. The question has been wrongly set.

We might assume negative ages to mean before they came into the world, before birth!

Answer:

angle S    100  option C

Step-by-step explanation:

P and S are consecutive angles

Interior angles of a parallelogram

1. Opposite angles are congruent

2. Consecutive angles are supplementary (They add to 180 )

(2x+20) + (3x+10) = 180

5x+30 = 180

5x = 150

x= 30

angle S      3x30 +10 =

                   90 +10 =   100

The other angle P      2x30 +20 = 60 +20 = 80

  100 +80 = 180

If the absolute value of a number is added to the original number will the sum always equal 0
lbvjy [14]
Not necessarily. the absolute value of a number is that number's distance from 0 on a number line. if your taking the absolute value of a negative value, what you stated would be true. however, what if you took the absolute value of a positive number? hope that answers your question.
