The answer is y = 2x - 1.

As the slope is 2 it will contain '2x'.  and the point (2,3)  which means x =2 when y = 3 fits the equation y = 2x - 1.

So its the last choice.

The solution set of 5x + 6-24 is the set of all real values of x
AURORKA [14]
They gave you a set of numbers that you replace the variable x in the equation to see if it gives a correct answer so just do exactly that.

6 + 2x = 24
6 + 2(6) = 24
6 + 12 = 24
18 = 24 so incorrect. both sides are not equal to each other.

6 + 2x = 24
6 + 2(9) = 24
6 + 18 = 24
24 = 24 so correct. both sides are equal to each other.

6 + 2x = 24
6 + 2(15) = 24
6 + 30 = 24
36 = 24 so incorrect. both sides are not equal to each other.

6 + 2x = 24
6 + 2(16) = 24
6 + 32 = 24
38 = 24 so incorrect. both sides are not equal to each other.

Customers can pick their own apples at wells orchards . They pay $6 to enter the orchard and $2 per pound for the apples they pi
Karo-lina-s [1.5K]
6 dollars doesn't change, it's 6 per customer
the one that changes is cost of apples, 2 per pound where pounds is x
2 times number of pounds=2 times x or 2x
so total cost=admission+aples=6+2x or y=2x+6 where y=total cost

so B is the answer
