Answer:

Emily’s homeroom class has MORE students.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let us assume total number of students in Emily’s homeroom class = m

Now, 75 % of total students  = 15

or, 75% of m = 15

\implies \frac{75}{100} \times m = 15\\ \implies  m= \frac{15\times 100}{75}  = 20

or, m = 20

Hence,   total number of students in Emily’s homeroom class  = 20

Let us assume total number of students in  Santiago’s homeroom class  = k

Now, 2/3  of total students  = 12

or,2/3 of k = 12

\frac{2}{3}  \times k  = 12\\\implies k = \frac{3}{2} \times 12= 18

or, k = 18

Hence, total number of students in Santiago’s homeroom class   = 18

Now, as we know 20 > 18

⇒Students in Emily’s homeroom class > students in Santiago’s homeroom class

Hence, Emily’s homeroom class has MORE students.

Parallel to y=−3x−2, through (-3, -3)
VashaNatasha [74]

Answer:

Use the formula y-y1=m(x-x1) <---memorize this. The m here is the slope.

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation is in y=mx+b form

Remember mx=slope and b=y-intercept

The question wants you to find the equation that is Parallel to y=-3x-2 and passes through (-3,-3)=(x1,y1)

Parallel=same slope -3x

So now all that's left is to plug into the equation.

y-(-3)=-3(x-(-3))

y+3=-3(x+3) ----> positive - a negative = positive so x-(-x)=x+x

y+3=-3x-9 ----> distribute like terms(subtract 3 from 3 and 3 from -9)

y=-3x-12 - This is your answer, you can check by graphing it.
