( -\frac{x}{7} )+ 4 - 3(x) \ \textgreater \  0
Solve this: \frac{x}{7}
Take the '0' from behind the equal sign in the first step
0 -  \frac{x}{7} + 4 - 3x \ \textgreater \  ?
\frac{-4(7)}{7}
-7(4) = 28 - x
\frac{28 - x}{7} - 3(x0 \ \textgreater \ ?
\frac{3(x)}{7}
Your inequality plot would be: -3.143 (4.0) \ \textless \  0
We have One Solution in this problem
Your answer would be: x\ \textless \ \frac{14}{11}  if we added \frac{14}{11} both sides of the inequality plot

Side Note: You don't have to do this method to solve inequalities, you can do whatever helps you out more

So, you're correct with your answer as C.

The nth term of a sequence is 25-3n
Komok [63]

Answer:

22, 19, 16 and - 5

Step-by-step explanation:

To evaluate any term from the n th term formula substitute the terms position value for n

given a_{n} = 25 - 3n, then

(a)

a_{1} = 25 - (3 × 1) = 25 - 3 = 22

a_{2} = 25 - (3 × 2) = 25 - 6 = 19

a_{3} = 25 - (3 × 3) = 25 - 9 = 16

(b)

a_{10} = 25 - (3 × 10) = 25 - 30 = - 5

If f(x)=3x+2, find f(f^-1(14))
krek1111 [17]
F(x) = 3x + 2x = 3f-1(x) + 2x - 2 = 3f-1(x)(x - 2)/3 = f-1(x)(14 - 2)/3 = f-1(14)12/3 = f-1(14)4 = f-1(14)   f(f-1(14)) = f(4)f(4) = 3(4) + 2f(4) = 12 + 2f(4) = 14 A function and its inverse are inverse operations, like addition and subtraction. They undo each other. f(f-1(x) = x

Sushil is 6 years older than Brian. Caroline is 5 years younger than Brian. If the total of their ages is 64, how old is the you
Nadusha1986 [10]

Answer:

16 years old

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's use the letters s, b, and c for Sushil, Brian, and Caroline's ages. Sushil is the oldest, followed by Brian, and then Caroline, the youngest. From the problem description, we can set up three equations:

s = b + 6 <em>(Sushil is 6 years older than Brian)</em>

c = b - 5 <em>(Caroline is 5 years younger than Brian)</em>

s + b + c = 64 <em>(The total of their ages is 64)</em>

Since s and c are already in terms of b, we can substitute them into the last equation and solve to find Brian's age:

(b + 6) + b + (b - 5) = 64

3b + 1 = 64

3b = 63

b = 21

Now that we know Brian's age, we can simply subtract 5 to find Caroline's:

c = b - 5 = 21 - 5 = 16 years old.
