Multiplying with 6 is like multiplying with 3 because 6 can be divided by 3. So with that being said, anything multiplied by 6, is multiplied by 3, just doubled.

Because with both you can get the answer 18. You can do 6x3=18
3x6=18 or 3x2=6 or 3x12=36 and 6x6=36 or 3x7=24 and 6x4=24 so with these two numbers you can get similar answers.

Matthew participates in a study that is looking at how confident students at SUNY Albany are. The mean score on the scale is 50.
TEA [102]

Answer:

The percentage of people that could be expected to score the same as Matthew or higher on this scale is:

= 93.3%.

Step-by-step explanation:

a) Data and Calculations:

Mean score on the scale, μ = 50

Distribution's standard deviation, σ = 10

Matthew scores, x = 65

Calculating the Z-score:

Z-score = (x – μ) / σ

= (65-50)/10

= 1.5

The probability based on a Z-score of 1.5 is 0.93319

Therefore, the percentage of people that could be expected to score the same as Matthew or higher on this scale is 93.3%.

Use the number line to compare the numbers -1/2 , -1 9/10, 3/5, 0.4
Leto [7]

Answer:

C. -1 9/10, -1/2, 0.4, 3/5

Step-by-step explanation:

Using a number line, we can see that negative numbers are to the left of '0' and positive numbers are to the right of '0'.  To compare numbers for increasing order, we would start with the lowest number to the farthest left on the number line to the greatest number to the farthest right.  Placing the following numbers on the number line, the furthest to the left is -1 9/10, then -1/2, followed by 0.4 and then the greatest, 3/5.  You can also compare by converting them all into decimals:

-1 9/10 = -1.9

-1/2 = -0.5

0.4 = 0.4

3/5 = 0.6
