Multiplying with 6 is like multiplying with 3 because 6 can be divided by 3. So with that being said, anything multiplied by 6, is multiplied by 3, just doubled.

Because with both you can get the answer 18. You can do 6x3=18
3x6=18 or 3x2=6 or 3x12=36 and 6x6=36 or 3x7=24 and 6x4=24 so with these two numbers you can get similar answers.

9. Solve the following system of equations. x + 2y − 6 = z 3y − 2z = 7 4 + 3x = 2y − 5z A. x = 0, y = 5, z = 4 B. C. D. x = 2, y
Inessa [10]
X + 2y - 6 = z..........x + 2y - z = 6
3y - 2z = 7
4 + 3x = 2y - 5z.....3x - 2y + 5z = -4

x + 2y - z = 6.....multiply by -3
3x - 2y + 5z = -4
---------------------
-3x - 6y + 3z = -18 (result of multiplying by -3)
3x - 2y + 5z = -4
--------------------add
-8y + 8z = - 22

-8y + 8z = -22
3y - 2z = 7 .....multiply by 4
----------------
-8y + 8z = -22
12y - 8z = 28 (result of multiplying by 4)
----------------add
4y = 6
y = 6/4 reduces to 3/2

-8y + 8z = -22
-8(3/2) + 8z = -22
-12 + 8z = -22
8z = -22 + 12
8z = -10
z = -10/8 reduces to -5/4

x + 2y - 6 = z
x + 2(3/2) - 6 = -5/4
x + 3 - 6 = -5/4
x - 3 = -5/4
x = -5/4 + 3
x = -5/4 + 12/4
x = 7/4

solution is (7/4, 3/2, -5/4).....x = 7/4, y = 3/2, and z = -5/4

Sam's problem: The median number of 2, 18, 3, 22, 5 is 10. Your solution: Was Sam correct? Select the reason from the selections
Mumz [18]

Answer:

It's not, the Median is 5 the mean is 10!

Step-by-step explanation:

The median is also the number that is halfway into the set. To find the median, the data should be arranged in order from least to greatest. If there is an even number of items in the data set, then the median is found by taking the mean (average) of the two middlemost numbers.

A moving truck is rented at $1,000 per day plus a charge per hour of use. The moving truck was used for 9 hours one day, and the
Advocard [28]
1000 is our constant because the truck was only used one day. We also know they charge a certain amount per hour, but we do not know how much. In this case they charged that amount 9 times because the truck was used for 9 hours. The total of the constant plus the 9hour fee is 2700 dollars:

1000(1) + 9x = 2700

The reason we multiply 1000 by 1, is because we only used the truck for one day.

Solve for x

9x = 2700 - 1000 = 1700

X = 1700/9 = 188.88

The hourly fee is $188.88
The question is asking for an equation for hours of use though, so the answer is

1000(1) + 9(188.88) = C

C represents cost or charge.
