Answer:

The area of the shaded area is 27 \pi

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula for the area of a circle is :\pi *radius^2

To work this out you would first have to work out the area of the circle. You can do this by multiplying \pi by the radius of 6 squared, this gives you 36\pi. However the question is asking for that section of the circle.

To work out the area of the shaded section you will first have to look at the missing angle, as it is 90° . A circle has 360° and so if we divide 360 by 90, this gives us 4. This tells us that \frac{3}{4} of the circle is shaded as \frac{1}{4} is not.

To work out the area of the shaded area you would divide the area of the whole circle which is 36\pi by 4, this gives us 9\pi. This tells us the area of 1 quadrant of the circle.

The next strep is to multiply 9\pi by 3, this gives us 27\pi. This is because now that we know the area of one quadrant we can find the area of the shaded area which covers 3 quadrant of the circle.

1) Multiply  \pi  by 6 squared.

\pi *6^2=36\pi

2) Divide 360 by 90.

360/90=4

3) Divide 36 \pi by 4.

36\pi/4=9\pi

4) Multiply 9 \pi  by 3.

9\pi*3=27\pi

Show that f(x)=(x-2)^3+8 is one to one algebraically
Lelu [443]
What im thinking is this: F(a) = f(b) so have 2 equations written and plug a into one and b in the other

(a-2)^3+8   = a^3-8+8 = a^3

                                             =            a^3 = b^3 square root both side = a=b
 <span>(b-2)^3+8  = b^3-8+8 = b^3

Thus it is 1:1.</span>

angle A and angle B are complementary angles. If m angle A = (x-16)degrees and m angle B = (3x+28)degrees, then find the measure
Ahat [919]

Answer:

4x \times 448

Step-by-step explanation:

A=

a = (x - 16)

b = (3x + 28)

So you add :

x \: and3x

To get

4x

Then you do :

16 \times 28

To get :

448

Answer is :

4x \times 448

agasfer [191]

Answer:

125 barn 75 sleeping

Step-by-step explanation:

5/8 of 200 cows

of means multiply

5/8 x 200 = 1000/8 = 125

125 cows grazing

200-125 = rest of cows

75 = rest of cows sleeping
