It is the same as commutative, just flipping the position of the numbers. For multiplication, it is the same. 3x2=2x3. But with division, you are dividing the second number from the first, so it matters what number is first and can affect it heavily.

How do you work this out
oksian1 [2.3K]

Answer:

Below.

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the number of students in each grade you multiply the marks by the frequency density. The number of students is given by the area under the  rectangles.

So to find the number of students with grade U (< 160)  it is:

120 * 0.2 + 40*0.5

= 24 + 20

= 44.

The number for Grade E

= (200 - 160) * 0.5

= 40 * 0.5

= 20.

The others can be found in the same way.

U guys are crazy awesome 7.04 Q13
finlep [7]

Answer:

5088

Step-by-step explanation:

The initial value  of the car is $19340

The rate of decrease is 12.5%

The value of the car after 10 years is given by

A=P(1-r\%)^n

Substitute the values to get;

A=19340(1-12.5\%)^{10}

\Rightarrow A=19340(1-12.5\%)^{10}

\Rightarrow A=19340(1-0.125)^{10}

\Rightarrow A=5087.88

To the nearest dollar we have $5088

The correct answer is choice C

There are 8 members of a basketball team . In their last game their mean points scored was 12 . Dom was their best player with 3
irina1246 [14]

The mean points of the team is the average points per game

Dom's claim is wrong

<h3>How to determine if Dom is right</h3>

The number of players in the team is:

n = 8

The mean score per game is:

Mean = 12

The mean of a dataset is calculated as:

Mean = \frac{Total}n

So, we have:

12= \frac{Total}8

Multiply both sides by 8

Total = 96\\

When Dom's point is removed, we have:

Points = 96 - 33

Points = 63

There are 7 players left.

So, the mean point is:

Mean = \frac{63}7

Mean = 9

The mean score is not 10.

Hence, Dom's claim is wrong
