It is the same as commutative, just flipping the position of the numbers. For multiplication, it is the same. 3x2=2x3. But with division, you are dividing the second number from the first, so it matters what number is first and can affect it heavily.

Suppose the invertible function φ(x) has the domain (−5,11) and the range (−12,1).
Rom4ik [11]

Answer:

Range of \phi^{-1} is (−5,11).

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the invertible function Ф(x) which has the domain (−5,11) and the range (−12,1).

Invertible function is the function that inverses another function i.e if y=Ф(x) then x=g(y) where g is called the inverse of Ф and denoted by\phi^{-1}

Given Ф(x) the function whose domain is (−5,11) and range is (−12,1). Therefore, by definition of invertible function there exist a function g with domain (−12,1) and range (−5,11) which is called the inverse function denoted by \phi^{-1}

Hence, Range of \phi^{-1} is (−5,11)

A student wants to survey the sophomore class of 200 students about whether the school should require uniforms. A
Fittoniya [83]

Answer: C

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Given:</u>

Sample size (n) = 50

x = 12

\widehat{\mathbf{p}}=\frac{\mathbf{x}}{n}=\frac{12}{50}=0.24

Confidence level = 90%

α = 1 − 0.90 = 0.10

α/2 = 0.05

\text { Critical value }\left(z_{c}\right)=z_{\frac{\alpha}{2}}=z_{0.05}=1.6449

(from standard normal table)

90% Confidence interval is,

\begin{aligned}&\text { Confidence interval }=\widehat{\mathbf{p}} \pm z_{c} \times \sqrt{\frac{\hat{\mathbf{p}}(1-\hat{\mathbf{p}})}{n}} \\&\text { C. I }=0.24 \pm 1.6449 \times \sqrt{\frac{0.24(1-0.24)}{50}} \\&\text { C. I }=0.24 \pm 1.65 \times \sqrt{\frac{0.24(1-0.24)}{50}}\left\end{aligned}

Therefore, 90% confidence interval for the true proportion of sophomores who favour the adoption of uniforms is C
