Answer: The correct answer for the fill in the blank is metallic luster.

Gold is a metal. Thus, it possesses all the properties of metal like ductility, malleability, conduction of heat and electricity, metallic luster.

When the light interact with the surface of gold, it produces brilliant shine. This shine is referred to as its metallic luster.

Gold is opaque and reflective. When light strikes gold surface, it is reflected back and does not pass through gold.

Thus, the correct answer for the fill in the blank is metallic luster.

Gold has a metallic luster. Go panning for gold in a river bed...those little flakes catch the sun in such a way that you KNOW it is gold. A dull luster would not show this.

Explanation:

C. They make it more fluid

Lipids are composed of fatty acids which form the hydrophilic head and glycerol which forms the hydrophilic tail; their arrangement can give these non-polar macromolecules hydrophilic and hydrophobic properties. Via diffusion, small water molecules can move across the phospholipid bilayer acts as a semi-permeable membrane into the extracellular fluid or the cytoplasm which are both hydrophilic and contain large concentrations of polar water molecules or other water-soluble compounds.

The hydrophilic heads of the bilayer are attracted to water while their water-repellent hydrophobic tails face towards each other- allowing molecules of water to diffuse across the membrane along the concentration gradient.

Transmembrane proteins are embedded within the membrane from the extracellular fluid to the cytoplasm, and are sometimes attached to glycoproteins (proteins attached to carbohydrates) which function as cell surface markers. Cholesterol, which is comparatively rigid, anchors other molecules attached to the membrane, maintain membrane stability or structural integrity and aid in separating some lipids, helping with membrane fluidity at low environmental temperatures.

Reviewing of articles summarizes the current state of understanding on a topic within a certain discipline.

What is an article review?

This is a type of professional paper writing which demands a high level of in-depth analysis and a well-structured presentation of arguments and a critical evaluation of literature in a particular field through summary, classification, analysis, and comparison.

Introducing the main idea of an article:

The first sentence should explain the subject being discussed in the passage.

A signal phrase is a short introductory phrase that indicates that a quote or paraphrase is coming. To introduce a signal phrase, you provide an effective transition between your own ideas and the evidence used to explore your ideas.

To include a quote, use the author's last name and the page number from which the quotation or paraphrase is taken.

To include a sentence which discusses the quote chosen, you:

 • Use a full sentence followed by a colon to introduce a quotation.
 • Begin a sentence with your own words, then complete it with quoted words.
 • Use an introductory phrase naming the source, followed by a comma to quote a critic or researcher.

Hence, a review article is generally considered a secondary source since it may analyze and discuss the method and conclusions in previously published studies.
