Explanation:

An atom consists of three subatomic particles which are protons, neutrons and electrons.

Protons and neutrons are placed inside the nucleus whereas electrons revolve around the nucleus.

Protons are positively charged particles and neutrons have no charge. On the other hand, electrons are negatively charged species.

Thus, we can conclude that charge of the nucleus is positive as neutrons have no charge so the charge of protons bring positive charge on nucleus of atom.

The "charge" of a nucleus is a net positive charge due to the positively-charged protons. Because an atom's nucleus only has protons and neutrons, and neutrons have no charge, there is nothing to cancel out the positive charge of the protons.

If the San Andreas Fault moves 200 cm (2 meters) per big earthquake, and plate movement is xx cm/yr (see question above), how ma
weqwewe [10]

Answer:

Option C

80 years

Explanation:

From Scientific records, the rate of movement of the plate is 0.025 meters

Since the fault moves at the rate of 2 meters per year, to obtain the number of years it will takes to produce an earth quake, we will have to divide the rate of movement of the fault by the rate of movement of the plate.

Number of years for earthquake = \frac{2}{0.025}= 80 years.

Hence, it will take 80 years to produce one big earthquake.

Please Explain two ways nitrogen gas in the atmosphere is changed into nitrogen compounds that plants can use. -Thank you all in
KIM [24]
Not sure if this is what your looking for, but hope it helps. Nitrogen gas can be changed into nitrogen compound through nitrogen fixation, which is the conversion of nitrogen gas to ammonia, that are absorbed by the plant to make protein. Another way is through animals eating plants and obtaining nitrogen, which is later released, by decomposes, when the organism dies.

Zarrin [17]

That was a lucky pick.

Twice each each lunar month, all year long, whenever the Moon,
Earth and Sun are aligned, the gravitational pull of the sun adds
to that of the moon causing maximum tides.

This is the setup at both New Moon and Full Moon. It doesn't matter
whether the Sun and Moon are both on the same side of the Earth,
or one on each side. As long as all three bodies are lined up, we
get the biggest tides.

These are called "spring tides", when there is the greatest difference
between high and low tide.

At First Quarter and Third Quarter, when the sun, Earth, and Moon form a
right angle, there is the least difference between high and low tide. Then
they're called "neap tides".
