Answer:

image is vertical at distance -203.62 cm

magnification is 2.110

Explanation:

given data

n = 1.51

distance u = 96.5 cm

concave radius r1 = 24 cm

convex radius r2 = 19.1 cm

to find out

final image distance and magnification

solution

we will apply here lens formula to find focal length f

1/f = n-1 ( 1/r1 - 1/r2)   .......................1

put here all value

1/f = 1.51 -1 ( -1/24 + 1/19.1)

f = 183.43

so from lens formula

1/f = 1/v + 1/u     .............................2

put here all value and find v

1/183.43 = 1/v + 1/96.5

so

v = −203.62 cm

so here image is vertical at distance -203.62 cm

and

magnification are = -v /u

magnification =  203.62 / 96.5

magnification is 2.110

gtnhenbr [62]
<span>240,000 miles / hour² Average acceleration can be calculated by dividing the change in speed by the elapsed time. Since the dragster's speed was 0 when the light turned green, the change in speed is simply 300 mph. Now, divide that by the time: 300 mph / 0.00125 hours = 240,000 miles / hour² By the way, 0.00125 hours is just 4.5 seconds!</span>

If the temperature of a gas is increased by 10x, what will happen to the volume?
xxMikexx [17]

The volume of a gas will increase by ten times if the temperature is increased by ten times.

<h3>Relationship between the volume of a gas and temperature</h3>

The relationship between the volume of a gas and its temperature is explained in Charles' law of gases which states that:

  • The volume of a fixed mass of gas is directly proportional to its temperature provided the pressure of the gas is kept constant.

This means that if the temperature of a gas is increased by any given factor, the volume increases by the same factor proportionally.

Therefore, if the volume of a gas will increase by ten times if the temperature is increased by ten times.

A sample of oxygen gas with a volume of 3.0 m3 is at 100 C. The gas is heated so that
vesna_86 [32]

\qquad\qquad\huge\underline{{\sf Answer}}

According to Charles law, if pressure remains constant, volume varies directly with temperature. so we can infer that :

\qquad\sf{\dfrac{V_1}{T_1}=\dfrac{V_2}{T_2}}

So, we can use this formula to find out the final temperature of the gas ~

Note : Take temperature in Kelvin ( 100°C = 373 K )

\qquad \sf  \dashrightarrow \:  \dfrac{3}{373}  =  \dfrac{6}{x}

\qquad \sf  \dashrightarrow \: x =  \dfrac{6}{3} \times 373

\qquad \sf  \dashrightarrow \: x = 2 \times 373

\qquad \sf  \dashrightarrow \: x =74 6 \: K

Now, convert it to Celsius ~

i.e 746 - 273 = 473° C

So, the final temperature of the gas will be equal to 473° C
