1/2 science
1/8 math
X reading

You have to convert to fractions to 24ths so...

1/2 will turn into 12/24

1/8 will turn into 3/24 because 24 divided by 8 = 3 so 1/8 times 3 give gives you 3/24

Then you add the 2 fractions so...

12/24 + 3/24 = 15/24

The rest of the kids are reading so...

24/24 - 15/24 = 9/24

Therefore 9 students are reading.

Which equation is true for the function h(x) = 16*?
LekaFEV [45]

Answer:

opiton b

Step-by-step explanation:

To find out which equation satisfies h(x) we need to check with each option

We plug in x  value

A) h(–1.25) = –0.5

Plug in -1.25 for x  in h(x) = 16^x

That is not true

B) h(–0.5) = 0.25

Plug in -0.5 for x

That is true.

C)  h(0.75) = 12

Plug in 0.75 for x

That is not true.

D)  h(1.25) = 20

Plug in 1.25 for x

That is not true

Zack wants to make a profit of more than $300 for painting 4 identical rooms. The profit he makes is equal to the amount he is p
lianna [129]

Answer: A

n-4(32.5) > 300;n > 430tep-by-step explanation:

given that Zack wants to make a profit of more than $300 for painting 4 identical rooms. That is

Profit > $300

Then, the profit he makes is equal to the amount he is paid minus the cost of supplies. The cost of supplies is $32.50 for each room. That is

n - 32.5 and

P + 32.5 × 4

Where 4 = number of rooms

P + 130

The minimum profit = 300 + 130 = $430

Therefore, the inequality and solution that represent the dollar amount, n, that zack must be paid for each room if he is to make a profit of more than 300$ is

n-4(32.5) > 300;n > 430

2. Let f(x) = 2x² + 2. Find each of the following:<br> a. f(-3)<br> b. f(6)<br> c. f(-1)<br> d. f(4)
r-ruslan [8.4K]

Answer:  The answers are in the steps please look carefully.

Step-by-step explanation:

To solve for each value input the value into the function and solve to find f(x)

A. f(-3) = 2(-3)^2 + 2

   f(-3)  = 2(9) + 2

    f(-3) = 18 + 2

    f(-3) = 20

B.      f(6) = 2(6)^2 + 2

        f(6) = 2(36) + 2

        f(6) = 72+ 2

        f(6) = 74

C.      f(-1) = 2(-1)^2 + 2

        f(-1) = 2(1)  + 2

        f(-1)=  2 + 2

        f(-1) = 4

D.     f(4) = 2(4)^2 + 2

       f(4) = 2(16)  + 2

       f(4) = 32 + 2

       f(4) = 34
