Answer: x2 + 34x - 13

Step-by-step explanation:

STEP

1

Trying to factor by splitting the middle term

1.1     Factoring  x2+34x-13

The first term is,  x2  its coefficient is  1 .

The middle term is,  +34x  its coefficient is  34 .

The last term, "the constant", is  -13

Step-1 : Multiply the coefficient of the first term by the constant   1 • -13 = -13

Step-2 : Find two factors of  -13  whose sum equals the coefficient of the middle term, which is   34 .

     -13    +    1    =    -12

     -1    +    13    =    12

Observation : No two such factors can be found !!

Conclusion : Trinomial can not be factored

Final result :

 x2 + 34x - 13

Check the picture below.

as you recall from the previous exercise, x = 74°, now, using the "inscribed angle theorem" as you saw already, the green intercepted arc is 160°, so y = 160° - 74°.

as far as ∡z, well, we can just use the "inscribed quadrilateral conjecture".

Prove each statement that is true and find a counterexample for each statement that is false. Assume all sets are subsets of a un
tekilochka [14]

Answer with Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that A, B and C are subsets of universal set U.

We have to prove that

A\cap (B-C)=(A\cap B)-(A\cap C)

Proof:

Let x\in A\cap (B-C)

Then x\in A and x\in(B-C)

When x\in ( B-C)then x\in B but x\notin C

Therefore, x\in( A\cap B) but x\notin (A\cap C)

Hence, it is true.

Conversely , Let x\in(A\cap B) but x\notin(A\cap C)

Then x\in A and x\in B

When x\notin ( A\cap C) then x\notin C

Therefor,x\in A\cap (B-C)

Hence, the statement is true.

clearance items in a store are all marked down proportionally. A shirt with an original price of $32 is on clearance of $12. wha
WINSTONCH [101]

Answer:

$15

Step-by-step explanation:

Set up a proportion where x is the clearance price of the $40 shirt:

\frac{32}{12} = \frac{40}{x}

Cross multiply and solve for x:

32x = 480

x = 15

So, the clearance price is $15

Art [367]

Answer:

x=-2

Step-by-step explanation:

1/2(2-6x)-4(x+3/2)=-(x-3)+4

(1-3x)-4x-6=-x+3+4

-7x-5=-x+7

Tranpose

-7x+x=5+7

-6x=12

Divide by -6

x=-2
