9x - 2x + 3 = 3x + 4x + 3
Subtract 3 from both sides:
9x - 2x + 3 - 3 = 3x + 4x + 3 - 3
Which then:
= 9x - 2x = 3x + 4x
Add similar elements: 9x - 2x = 7x
7x = 3x + 4x
Add similar elements: 3x + 4x = 7x
7x = 7x
The, subtract 7x from both sides
7x - 7x = 7x - 7x
Simplify,
0 = 0
So, both sides are equal.

Identify the solution(s) of the system of equations, if any.<br> -6x - 4y = 12<br> 12y = -18x - 36
UkoKoshka [18]
-6x - 4y = 12|\div 2\\&#10;12y = -18x - 36|\div 6\\\\&#10;-3x-2y=6\\&#10;2y=-3x-6\\\\&#10;-3x-2y=6\\&#10;-3x-2y=6

Both equations are equivalent, so there are infinitely many solutions.

timurjin [86]

Answer:

  • $10 per hour
  • 0.1 hours

Step-by-step explanation:

To find Carys' earnings in one hour, fill in h=1 in the formula:

  E = 10·1 = 10

Carys earns 10 dollars per hour.

__

To find the number of hours required to earn 1 dollar, fill in E=1 in the formula:

  1 = 10h

  0.1 = h . . . . . divide by 10

It takes 0.1 hours for Carys to earn 1 dollar.
