Democracy- People choose their leaders, Laws are framed to protect the civil rights of the people.

Explanation:

Communism and democracy are two forms of government but with contrasting ideologies.

Communism limits the rights and freedom of the citizens, with the people having no voice whatsoever in the formation and running of the government. Moreover, the government controls all aspects of the social and cultural life of the people.

On the other hand, a democratic form of government allows the people to elect their leaders and also frames laws that protect the rights of the citizens.
