<u>case a)</u> Give an example of two ingredients in a recipe that would meet this requirement

The example is with flour and sugar

Let

x--------> the number of cups of flour

y-------> the number of cups of sugar

we know that

Ratio=\frac{x}{y}\\ \\x=\frac{1}{2} \ cup\ of\ flour\\\\ y=\frac{1}{8} \ cup\ of\ sugar \\ \\Ratio=\frac{(1/2)}{(1/8)}=4

<u>Part b)</u> If you needed to triple the recipe, would the ratio change?

If the recipe is tripled, the ratio does not change, because both the amount of flour and the amount of sugar will also triple, leaving the ratio constant.

<u>Example</u>

Ratio=\frac{x}{y}\\ \\x=3*\frac{1}{2} \ cup\ of\ flour\\\\ y=3*\frac{1}{8} \ cup\ of\ sugar \\ \\Ratio=\frac{(3/2)}{(3/8)}=4

<u>Part c)</u> What is the unit rate of the ingredients in your recipe?

we know that

A unit rate is a rate in which the second rate is 1 unit

in this problem the unit rate is equal to \frac{4}{1}\frac{cups\ of \ flour}{cup\ of\ sugar}

That means the recipe requires 4 cups of flour per cup of sugar

therefore

<u>the answer Part c) is </u>

The unit rate is equal to \frac{4}{1}\frac{cups\ of \ flour}{cup\ of\ sugar}

Answer:

Distance = 5 units

Step-by-step explanation:

The given problem asks us to determine the distance between two points, (1, 5) and (5, 2).

<h2>Solution:</h2>

In order to find the distance between two points, we can use the following distance formula:

\displaystyle\mathsf{Distance\:(D)= \sqrt{(x_2\:-x_1)^2\:+\:(y_2\:-y_1)^2}}

Let (x₁, y₁) =   (1, 5)

     (x₂, y₂) =  (5, 2)

Step 1: Substitute points into the formula:

\displaystyle\mathsf{Distance\:(D)= \sqrt{(x_2\:-x_1)^2\:+\:(y_2\:-y_1)^2}}

\displaystyle\mathsf{Distance\:(D)= \sqrt{(5\:-1)^2\:+\:(2\:-5)^2}}

Step 2: Subtract the integers in each of the parenthesis under the radical:

\displaystyle\mathsf{Distance\:(D)= \sqrt{(4)^2\:+\:(-3)^2}}

Step 3: Evaluate the powers (exponents):

\displaystyle\mathsf{Distance\:(D)= \sqrt{16\:+\:9}}

Step 4: Add 16 and 9:

\displaystyle\mathsf{Distance\:(D)= \sqrt{25}}

Step 5: Take the square root of 25:

⇒   Distance (D) = 5 units.

<h2>Final Answer:</h2>

Therefore, the distance between points (1, 5) and (5, 2) is <u>5 units</u>.

this point, we pause to see if it makes sense that we actually have two viable cases to consider. As we have discussed, both candidates for are ‘compatible’ with the given angle-side pair ( ;a) = (30 ;3) in that both choices for can t in a triangle with and both have a sine of 2 3.
