4 0

Answer:

17 1/3

Step-by-step explanation:

First you place 4 in for x:

2 1/2(4)=10

Then place 2 in for y:

3 2/3(2)=7 1/3

Finally add both together:

10+7 1/3= 17 1/3

Extraneous solutions, is answers that we get because of squaring both sides of the radical equation, but in reality, they are not going to be the solutions of  the given equation.
(√(4x+41))²=(x+5)²
4x+41=x²+10x+25
x²+6x-16=0
(x-2)(x+8)=0
x1=2 , x2=-8,
And now we must to check them by substitution into initial equation

√(4x+41)=x+5
1)   x=2,   √(4*2+41)=2+5, √49=7, 7=7 true
2) x=-8,     √(4*(-8)+41)=-8+5,   √9 =-3    false,
so an extraneous solution x=-8

Express parametrically a point on a parabola (y-1) ssquare=x
sdas [7]

Answer:

Conversely, given a pair of parametric equations with parameter t, the set of points (f(t), g(t)) form a curve in the plane.

As an example, the graph of any function can be parameterized. For, if y = f(x) then let t = x so that

x = t,   y = f(t).

is a pair of parametric equations with parameter t whose graph is identical to that of the function. The domain of the parametric equations is the same as the domain of f.

Example The parametric equations

x = t,   y = t2
