Pilar started with 80 and adds 10 each week.

y= 10x + 80 (ten seashells • weeks + 80 she started with)

Marisol started with 0 and adds 20 each week.

y = 20x (no need to add + 0 because she started with nothing)

Inequality:

y = 10x + 80 < y = 20x

Weeks:

I would reccomend just plugging in numbers (for example if I put in 5 I would determine if it was too high or low then go to the next number.)

I plugged it into an online graph so I can’t show my work but the answer is 8 weeks.

A car care company sells 45-in. Upholstery fabric for car restoration. Art bought 9 7/12 yd and 11 13/16 yd for two car projects
kvv77 [185]

Answer:

21\frac{19}{48}\ yards

Step-by-step explanation:

Art bought 9\frac{7}{12} and 11\frac{13}{16} yards of fabric.

Total fabric bought: 9\frac{7}{12} + 11\frac{13}{16}

To add both fractions, we convert them into improper fractions (multiply denominator with whole number, then add the numerator) and then we find the LCM of the two denominators: 12 and 16

LCM of 12 and 16 = 48

\frac{115}{12} + \frac{189}{16}\\\\\frac{460}{48} + \frac{567}{48}\\\\\frac{460 + 567}{48}\\\\\frac{1027}{48}

We reduce this fraction to mixed fraction (or reduce if possible), since 1027 and 48 have no common factors.

= 21\frac{19}{48} yards

Elenna [48]
Eg. d stands for the number of dimes, n stands for the number of nickels
a dime worth 10 cents, 1 nickel worth 5 cents

The equation for "There are 10 coins in a jar" is

What is the slope of the line that passes through (8,5), (-7,20)?
Kaylis [27]
-1, because the equation for the slope is y2-y1/x2-x1. So let's bring the y value in the second set of point, which is 20, and bring the first y value in the first set of points, which is 5. 20-5 is 15. Now let's subtract the x values. So the second x from the second parentheses x value is -7, and the first x value from the first parentheses is 8. -7-8 is -15. Now we have this division equation, 15/-15, which is -1. So therefore, the slope of the line will be -1.
