Answer:

A) the revenue equation is given by R(x) = 35x, that means that each ride costs $35

B) when a business reaches break even point, it means that their revenue = their expenses

so, 35x = 15x + 2,000 (we subtract 15x from both sides)

35x - 15x = 15x + 2,000 - 15x

20x = 2,000 (we divide both sides by 20)

20x/20 = 2,000/20

x = 100

The break even point in units = 100 rides

A, The answer is provided: R=35x

b. R=C when you break even (i.e. your cost equal your revenue)
    35x=15x+2000; 20x=2000; x=2000/20; x = 100 rides

The sum of two numbers is 51. The larger number is 17 more than the smaller number. What are the numbers ?
Serggg [28]

Answer:

The numbers are 17 and 34.

Step-by-step explanation:

I just subtracted 17 from 51, it equals 34, and 34 is 17 more than 17. Add 34 and 17 and you get 51.

Can I get help with this please
drek231 [11]

Answer:

3)  1 5/6 mi

4)  a. 4 cm, 6 ft

    b. 6.4 cm, 9.6 ft

    c. same as part a

Step-by-step explanation:

3) Each of the given distances appears twice in the sum of side measures that is the perimeter. Hence by walking the perimeter twice, Kyle walks each of the given distances 4 times. His total walk is ...

  4×1/3 + 4×1/8 = 4/3 + 4/8

  = 1 1/3 + 1/2 = 1 2/6 + 3/6

  = 1 5/6 . . . . . miles

___

4) Since the figure is rectilinear (all angles are right angles, and all sides are straight lines), the sum of partial dimensions in one direction is equal to the whole dimension in that direction.

a. 8 cm = 4 cm + x

  8 cm - 4 cm = x = 4 cm

The distance in the room is ...

  (4 cm)×(1.5 ft/cm) = 6 ft

b. 10.3 cm = 3.9 cm + y

  10.3 cm - 3.9 cm = y = 6.4 cm

The distance in the room is ...

  (6.4 cm)×(1.5 ft/cm) = 9.6 ft

c. The answer to part b was obtained in the same way as the answer to part a.  The unknown dimension is the difference of given dimensions. The actual length in the room is the model length multiplied by the inverse of the scale factor.

There are 60 people waiting in line for a movie. If 20 percent are wearing hats, how many people in line were not wearing hats?
sammy [17]

Answer:

48 people

Step-by-step explanation:

To find 20% of 60, you multiply 60 by .2 and get 12. Subtract 12 from 60, and 48 people were not wearing hats.

lisov135 [29]

Answer:

the second one(20)

Step-by-step explanation:

If you pretend 20 is x, you solve the equation by pluging in x (20) into the equation and it gives you 70, 70 is what the big part is and 70+20 is 90, which is the size of a 90degree side.

4(20)-10

80-10

70

70+20=90
