Answer:

Rectangular Coordinates:

x=\frac{5\sqrt{2}}{2}

y=\frac{5\sqrt{2}}{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

Polar coordinate are given in the form:

(r,\theta)

The point given is:  (5, \frac{\pi}{4})

So,

r=5

and

\theta=\frac{\pi}{4}

The formula to convert polar coordinates to rectangular coordinates (x, y) is:

x=rCos \theta

y=rSin\theta

Note that  sin(\frac{\pi}{4})=cos(\frac{\pi}{4})=\frac{\sqrt{2}}{2}

Thus,

x=rCos\theta=5Cos(\frac{\pi}{4})=5*\frac{\sqrt{2}}{2}=\frac{5\sqrt{2}}{2}

y=rSin\theta=5*Sin(\frac{\pi}{4})=5*\frac{\sqrt{2}}{2}=\frac{5\sqrt{2}}{2}

kirza4 [7]

Answer:

B.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since 21 is divided by 3 you might think that it is equivalent but remeber you have to divide by both sides, so if you divide 21 by 7 it works but 28 by seven does not! Hope this helps!

What is the slope of the line that passes through the points (-3, -9)(−3,−9) and (22, -4) ?(22,−4)? Write your answer in simples
bezimeni [28]

Answer:

1/5

Step-by-step explanation:

Equation: \frac{y_{2} - y_{1}}{x_{2} - x_{1}}

Points: (-3, -9) and (22, -4)

y_{2} is the second y point that shows up on the question, basically go by order. So it's -4

y_{1} is -9, because again, in order of which coordinates pop-up first in the question

x_{2} is 22, x_{1} is -3

Now input into the equation, to make it easier we'll split the fraction into 2 equations:

\frac{y_{2} - y_{1}}{x_{2} - x_{1}} = y_{2} - y_{1} and x_{2} - x_{1}, we'll put them back in a fraction later

y_{2} - y_{1} = -4 - (-9) = -4 + 9 = 5

x_{2} - x_{1} = 22 - (-3) = 22 + 3 = 25

now put it in the fraction, remember y on top x on the bottom:

5/25, simplify, 1/5

PLS HELP ME WITH 4!! (MUST SHOW WORK!!) *suppose to figure out what's in the missing box!* *LOTS OF POINTS!!*
MArishka [77]
-4(2.5y-3.25) - 15.25 = -10y + box
-4(-0.75y) - 15.25 = -10y + box
3y-15.25 = -10y + box
-7y-15.25 = box
box and/or y = -22.25

i'm not 100 percent sure of my answer, but I'm pretty confident. If i am wrong, then all you need to do is distribute in the beginning.
