Universality of marriage
amm1812
The universality of marriage within different societies and cultures is attributed to the many basic social and personal functions for which it provides structure, such as sexual gratification and regulation, division of labour between the sexes, economic production and consumption, and satisfaction of personal needs for affection, status, and companionship. Perhaps its strongest function concerns procreation, the care of children and their education and socialization, and regulation of lines of descent.

What are operant conditioning therapies??
vovikov84 [41]
Operant Conditioning Therapy:

Using the principles of operant conditioning (reward and punishment), psychologists can set up token economies with their client. Tokens (objects with no worth) are rewarded for good behavior and can be exchanged for something in the future. This is often a technique used with children.

Behavioral contracting occurs when the therapist draws up a contract specifying the responsibilities and behavioral expectations of each party, and obliging each party to live up to their terms of the contract. The client must follow the instructions of the therapy and the therapist in turn will give the client certain things.
