<h3>Answer: 42.9</h3>

There are two triangles: triangle MAB and triangle MNP

The slanted sides on the right side of the triangles are MB and MP. They correspond to one another. So they form a ratio MB/MP. I have the smaller piece up top. So we'll have the smaller piece of MAB's other known side which is MA = 35.2 (subtract 67.22 and 32) and we'll divide MA over MN = 67.2 making the ratio MA/MN

Solve the proportion for x

MB/MP = MA/MN

x/81.9 = 35.2/67.2

67.2*x = 81.9*35.2 <<--- cross multiply

67.2*x = 2882.88

x = 2882.88/67.2 <<--- divide both sides by 67.2

x = 42.9

Answer:

42.9

Step-by-step explanation:

Remark

When lines are parallel and they are cut by a transversal, their corresponding angles are equal.

  • <MAB = <MNP        Corresponding Angles are equal
  • <MBA = <MPN         Corresponding Angles are equal
  • <M = <M                   Reflexive Property: an angle equals itself
  • These Triangles are similar by AAA

Therefore Corresponding Sides of Similar Triangles are in a ratio

Equation

MA / MN = MB/MP

Givens

  • MA = 67.2 - 32 = 35.2
  • MN = 67.2
  • MB = x
  • MP - 81.9

Solution

35.2/67.2 = x / 81.9        Cross Multiply

35.2 * 81.9 = 67.2 * x      Combine the left

2883 = 67.2 * x               Divide by 67.2

2883/67.2 = x

x = 42.9                           Answer

Ihorangi travels 51 km to work and 51 km from work each day.
viktelen [127]

Answer:

Ihorangi uses 7.65 litres of petrol to and from work

Step-by-step explanation:

If the car Ihorangi drives consumes 7.5 L/100 km

Then for 1 km journey, the car will consume 7.5/100 L

= 0.075 L

If Ihorangi travels 51 km to work and 51 km from work

Therefore Ihorangi travel (51 + 51) km daily to and from work

= 102 km daily

The fuel he consumes daily is 102*0.075 L

= 7.65 L

Given: AB = 12
Alexxx [7]

In proving  that C is the midpoint of AB, we see truly that C has Symmetric  property.

<h3>What is the proof about?</h3>

Note that:

AB = 12

AC = 6.

BC = AB - AC

= 12 - 6

=6

So, AC, BC= 6

Since C is in the middle, one can say that C is the midpoint of AB.

Note that the use of segment addition property shows: AC + CB = AB = 12

Since it has Symmetric property, AC = 6 and Subtraction property shows that CB = 6

Therefore,  AC = CB and thus In proving  that C is the midpoint of AB, we see truly that C has Symmetric  property.

See full question below

Given: AB = 12 AC = 6 Prove: C is the midpoint of AB. A line has points A, C, B. Proof: We are given that AB = 12 and AC = 6. Applying the segment addition property, we get AC + CB = AB. Applying the substitution property, we get 6 + CB = 12. The subtraction property can be used to find CB = 6. The symmetric property shows that 6 = AC. Since CB = 6 and 6 = AC, AC = CB by the property. So, AC ≅ CB by the definition of congruent segments. Finally, C is the midpoint of AB because it divides AB into two congruent segments. Answer choices: Congruence Symmetric Reflexive Transitive

In a recent study on world happiness, participants were asked to evaluate their current lives on a scale from 0 to 10, where 0
uysha [10]

Answer:

a) A response of 8.9 represents the 92nd percentile.

b) A response of 6.6 represents the 62nd percentile.

c) A response of 4.4 represents the first quartile.

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given the following information in the question:

Mean, μ = 5.9

Standard Deviation, σ = 2.2

We assume that the distribution of response is a bell shaped distribution that is a normal distribution.

Formula:

z_{score} = \displaystyle\frac{x-\mu}{\sigma}

a) We have to find the value of x such that the probability is 0.92

P(X < x)

P( X < x) = P( z < \displaystyle\frac{x - 5.9}{2.2})=0.92

Calculation the value from standard normal z table, we have,

P(z

\displaystyle\frac{x - 5.9}{2.2} = 1.405\\x = 8.991 \approx 8.9

A response of 8.9 represents the 92nd percentile.

b) We have to find the value of x such that the probability is 0.62

P(X < x)

P( X < x) = P( z < \displaystyle\frac{x - 5.9}{2.2})=0.62

Calculation the value from standard normal z table, we have,

P(z

\displaystyle\frac{x - 5.9}{2.2} = 0.305\\x = 6.571 \approx 6.6

A response of 6.6 represents the 62nd percentile.

c) We have to find the value of x such that the probability is 0.25

P(X < x)

P( X < x) = P( z < \displaystyle\frac{x - 5.9}{2.2})=0.25

Calculation the value from standard normal z table, we have,

P(z

\displaystyle\frac{x - 5.9}{2.2} = -0.674\\x = 4.4172 \approx 4.4

A response of 4.4 represents the first quartile.

Find the slope of the line that passes through the pair of points.<br><br> (–5.5, 6.1), (–2.5, 3.1)
hjlf

Slope of the line is -1.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given points are,

(-5.5,6.1),(-2.5,3.1)

Here,

x_{1} = -5.5 ,\ \ \ x_{2}=-2.5\\y_{1} = 6.1,\ \ \ y_{2}=3.1

Slope = m = \frac{y_{2}-y_{1}}{x_{2}-x{1}}

Putting values;

m=\frac{3.1-6.1}{-2.5-(-5.5)}\\m=\frac{-3}{-2.5+5.5}\\m=\frac{-3}{3}\\m=-1

Slope of the line is -1.
