We know that the summation of angles of a triangle is 180<span>°. Then we find angle of C by,
</span>m∠A + m∠B + m∠C=180°
80° + 50° + m∠C=180°
m∠C=180°- 80°+ 50°
m∠C=50°
Since we now angle of C, we can use Sine Law in solving for AC
sinC/AB=sinB/AC
sin50°/6 =sin50°/AC
AC=6cm
Therefore, AC is equal to 6cm.

The correct answer for this question is this one:

On a piece of paper, use a protractor and a ruler to construct △ABC with AB=6 cm , m∠A=80° , and m∠B=50° .

What is AC ?

3 cm

6 cm

9 cm

12 cm

If you try to draw the triangle, it forms an isosceles triangle.

side AB has a length of 6cm. Side AB = Side AC. So the length of Side AC is also 6 cm.

Hope this helps answer your question and have a nice day ahead.

Annie’s change purse contained 5 quarters 8 dimes and 8 nickels if Annie chose 2 coin randomly without replacing them in her pur
Bogdan [553]
<h3>Answer:</h3>

2/15

<h3>Explanation:</h3>

There are 8C2 = 28 ways to choose 2 dimes from the 8 dimes in Annie's purse. There are 21C2 = 210 ways to choose 2 coins from the 21 coins in Annie's purse.

Of the 210 ways to choose 2 coins, 28 of the choices will result in 2 dimes being chosen. The probability of choosing 2 dimes is 28/210 = 2/15.

_____

<em>Comment on nCk</em>

The number of ways to choose k objects from n, when order does not matter, is ...

... n!/(k!(n -k)!)

For the computations above, we have ...

... 8C2 = 8·7/(2·1) = 28

... 21C2 = 21·20/(2·1) = 210

Triangle ABC is given where m(angle)A=33 degrees, a=15 in., and the height, h, is 9 in. How many distinct triangles can be made
4vir4ik [10]

Answer:

One triangle

Step-by-step explanation:

Find the measures of the triangle ABC

Let

D ----> intersection point of the height triangle ABC with the segment AB

step 1

Find the measure of angle B

In the right triangle BCD

sin(B)=\frac{CD}{BC} ---> by SOH (opposite side divided by the hypotenuse)

substitute the given values

sin(B)=\frac{9}{15}

using a calculator

B=sin^{-1}(\frac{9}{15})=36.9^o

step 2

Find the length of segment DB in the right triangle BCD

Applying the Pythagorean Theorem

BC^2=DC^2+DB^2

substitute

15^2=9^2+DB^2

DB^2=15^2-9^2

DB^2=144\\DB=12\ in

step 3

Find the measure of angle C

we know that

The sum of the interior angles in any triangle must be equal to 180 degrees

so

A+B+C=180^o

substitute the given values

33^o+36.9^o+C=180^o

C=180^o-69.9^o=110.1^o

step 4

Find the length side AC

In the right triangle ACD

sin(A)=\frac{CD}{AC} ---> by SOH (opposite side divided by the hypotenuse)

substitute the given values

sin(33^o)=\frac{9}{AC}

solve for AC

AC=\frac{9}{sin(33^o)}=16.5\ in

step 5

Find the length of segment AD

In the right triangle ACD

tan(A)=\frac{CD}{AD} ---> by TOA (opposite side divided by the adjacent side)

substitute the given values

tan(33^o)=\frac{9}{AD}

AD=\frac{9}{tan(33^o}}=13.9\ in

step 6

Find the length side AB

AB=AD+DB

substitute the given values

AB=13.9+12=25.9\ in

step 7

The measures of triangle ABC are

A=33^o\\B=36.9^o\\C=110.1^o\\AC=16.5\ in\\CB=15\ in\\AB=25.9\ in

so

The measurements of the ABC triangle are unique

therefore

Only one triangle can be constructed  with the given measurements
