What is the wave characteristic of stage 1 sleep

spin [16.1K]4 years ago

We all think that sleep has a uniform state of being. This is a wrong connotation but instead, the truth is sleep is composed of several different stages. This can be differentiated from one another by the patterns of brain wave activity that occur during each stage. In the 1st stage of the non-rapid eye movement or NREM, this is when the transitional phase occurs between wakefulness and sleep. This is the period when we drift off to sleep. The heartbeat as well as the respiration rates in the body slow down during this period. Furthermore, in stage 1 there is marked decrease in both overall muscle tension and core body temperature. Stage 1 wave activity s directly associated with the alpha and theta waves. It isa said that it is really easy to wake a person who is still at stage 1 and are not even convinced that he or she has been asleep during this stage.

Which two mixtures are homogeneous?
MAVERICK [17]

Answer:

A. Gasoline

B. Apple juice

Explanation:

A homogeneous mixture can be defined as any liquid, solid or gaseous mixture which has an identical or uniform composition and properties throughout any given sample of the mixture. In Chemistry, all solutions are considered to be a homogeneous mixture.

For instance, aqueous hydrogen chloride, HCl(aq) is a homogeneous mixture. The aqueous hydrogen chloride is a homogeneous mixture of water and hydrogen chloride. This ultimately implies that, aqueous hydrogen chloride HCl(aq) is a solution of hydrogen chloride in water and it is commonly referred to as Hydrochloric acid.

Hence, the two mixtures that are homogeneous are gasoline and apple juice.

What is the frequency of a microwave of wavelength 3cm?
navik [9.2K]

Frequency = (speed) / (wavelength)

Speed = 3 x 10⁸ m/s

Wavelength = 3 cm = 0.03 m

Frequency = (3 x 10⁸  m/s) / (0.03 m)

Frequency = (3 x 10⁸ / 0.03) (m / m-s)

Frequency =  1 x 10¹⁰ Hz (10 Gigahertz)
