Answer=B

36 red marbles
64 blue marbles

red marbles:blue marbles
36:64
now lets simplify the ratio by dividing both numbers by 2
18:32
continue simplifying by dividing both sides by 2 again...
9:16

The ratio of red to blue marbles is 9:16

\frac{red}{blue} = \frac{36}{64} ^{(2}   = \frac{18}{32} ^{(2}  = \frac{9}{16}
So the correct answer is B

Triangle XYZ is similar to triangle RST what is the perimeter of triangle RST
zubka84 [21]
You need values of some sort to answer this question; the perimeter of triangle RST will correspond to the perimeter of triangle XYZ. For instance, if XYZ has sides 3/4/5, then RST might have sides 1.5/2/2.5 or 6/8/10.

A bank wishes to estimate the mean balances owed by customers holding MasterCard. The population standard deviation is estimated
Fofino [41]

Answer: 471

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :  The population standard deviation is estimated to be $500.

i.e .  \sigma=\$500

If a 97 percent confidence interval is used and an interval of $100 is desired.

i.e. Margin of error = half of interval

i.e. E= \dfrac{\$100}{2}=\$50

Significance level : 1-0.97=0.03

Critical value for 97% confidence interval : {z_{\alpha/2}=z_{0.03/2}=2.17

Formula for sample size :

n=(\dfrac{z_{\alpha/2}\ \sigma}{E})^2\\\\=(\dfrac{2.17\times500}{50})^2\\\\=470.89\approx471

Hence, at-least 471 cardholders should be sampled.
