Suppose you are given two angles A and B in which angle a is equal to angle b. If the measure of a compliment of angle a is equa

5x + 20 = 90 - a = 90 - (3x + 40)
5x + 20 = 90 - 3x - 40 = 50 - 3x
5x + 3x = 50 - 20
8x = 30
x = 30/8 = 15/4

b = 3(15/4) + 40 = 45/4 + 40 = 51.25
The measure of a supplementary angle is 180 - 51.25 = 128.75

Find the circumference of the circle. Round to the nearest tenth.
Natasha_Volkova [10]

Formula for the circumference of a circle: C = pi x diameter

We are given the radius here, but we need the diameter. The diameter of a circle is equal to two times the radius.

diameter = 40 x 2 = 80 in

C = pi x 80

C = 80pi = 251.3 in

Hope this helps!! :)

Which pairs of angles are congruent because they are vertical angles? Check all that apply.
miskamm [114]
B, D represent pairs of vertical angles.
___
Other pairs may be congruent, but they are not vertical angles. The lines that look parallel must be assumed to be NOT parallel, because they are not marked in the diagram as being parallel. Thus ∠8 ≠ ∠12, for example.

What is the area?

The space filled by a flat form or the surface of an item is known as the area.

The number of unit squares that cover the surface of a closed-form is the figure's area. Square centimeters and other similar units are used to measure area.

Given data;

Radius,r = 6 feet

Diameter,d=2

Circumfererenc,C

The circumferrence of the circle is;

C=πD

C= 3.14 × 2

The formula should he use willl be 3.14(2).

Hence, option B is correct.
