5 0

Answer: 1/257300

Step-by-step explanation:

Let S= total number of sample space

Let D= defective parts

Let ND= Non- defective parts

Let Pr(D) = probability of defective parts in the box

Let Pr(ND) = PROBABILITY OF non-defective parts

S= 250

D = 5

ND= 250 – 5

= 245

Pr(D) =5/250

= 1/50

Pr(ND) = 245/250

= 49/50

The probability of picking 3 parts that will be defective without replacement is

Pr(D₁) n Pr(D₂) n Pr(D₃)

Pr(D₁) = 5/250

Pr(D₂) = 4/249

Pr(D₃) = 3/248

= 5/250 × 4/249 × 3/248

= 60/15438000

= 1/257300

___________ Qualitative Inferential Descriptive Quantitative statistics consists of organizing and summarizing information coll
Alika [10]

Answer:

Descriptive statistics consists of organizing and summarizing information collected, while inferential statistics use methods that generalize results obtained from a sample to the population and measure the reliability of the results.

Step-by-step explanation:

By definition, descriptive statistics summarize a given data set using measures of central tendency and measures of variability.

Measures of central tendency include:

 • mean.
 • median.
 • mode.

Measures of variability include:

 • standard deviation.
 • variance.
 • the minimum and maximum variables.

By definition, inferential statistics are used to make generalizations about a population from data samples.

For example, you might ask a sample of 100 people if they like shopping. You could make a bar chart of yes or no answers (descriptive statistics) or you could use your research and then, reason which is the percentage of the population that likes shopping (inferential statistics).
