What do biologists use to establish whether or not two organisms are of the same species?

Biology

Answer & Explanation:

The first important part to consider is the actual definition of species. There are many, depending on the field. Essentially two organisms belong to the same species if they can mate, cross and the breeding is viable. This means that, if they do mate and actually give birth, the baby must be able to also mate and breed. Hybrids, for example, cannot breed and that's because the parents did not belong to the same species, causing that the breeding is infertile. Recently molecular studies have been able to recognize organisms from the same species with their genetic similarities or differences.

A single strand of DNA helix consists of 100 nitrogenous base pairs. On one strand, 36 of the bases are adenine and 24 are cytos
Katena32 [7]
Hello!

For the complementary strand of DNA, 36 Thymine bases and 24 Guanine bases would complete the proper base pairing.

This is given by the concept of complementarity. A base in DNA has complementarity with only one other base. This complementarity is produced by hydrogen bond interactions.

For DNA, Adenine couples with Thymine and Cytosine couples with Guanine. So the 36 adenine bases will couple with 35 thymine bases, and so on.

Have a nice day!

Why do cells stay small
Dafna1 [17]
Ans: Cells are so small because it allows them to have a better surface area to volume ratio. This makes it much easier for the cell to bring in necessary nutreints and excrete wastes. Also the smaller the cell is, the less time it takes to replicate the small cell as opposed to a bigger cell.
