Hello!

Craig p= points scored
Marla 2p=points scored
Nelson 2p-5= points scored

Therefore with no numbers to use we just get an simple equation for Nelson’s score.

Nelson score= 2p+5 where p equals Craig’s score.

Hope this helps! Any questions please ask! Thanks!

Terrence and 4 friends go to a book sale at which hardcover books cost $2 and paperback books cost $1. Each person buys an equal
Gnoma [55]

Answer:

A. How many paperback books each person buys.

Step-by-step explanation:

In the equation the x represents how many paperback books they can buy.

In the equation the 2 represents that 1 hardcover book was purchased.

In the equation the 35 represents how much money they spent in total.

The equation is complete except for x which has to be substituted with how many paperback books they can buy. Which would be 5.

Hope This Helps :)

Find S11 for 1 + 2 + 4 + 8 +
Free_Kalibri [48]
Evaluating the given sequence, it is evident that the next number is twice the number prior to it. Thus, the given is a geometric sequence with first term (a1) equal to 1 and common ratio of 2. The geometric series may be calculated by the equation,

                                            Sn = a1 x (1 - r^n) / (1 - r)

where Sn is the sum of n terms in this case, n = 11.
Substituting the known values,

                                      Sn = 1 x (1 - 2^11) / (1 - 2) = 2047

Thus, S11 is 2047.
