If y varies directly with x:

y = k * x

When x = 2, y = - 10.

- 10 = k * 2

k = - 10 : 2

k = - 5

Therefore: y = - 5 x

And when x = 12 ;

y = - 5 * 12

Answer:

y = - 60

y=kx y=-5x

-10/2=k 2/2 y=-5(12)

-5=k y=-60

Is a rectangular prism has a length width and height of 3/8cm, 5/8cm and 7/8 in a meter respectively then the volume of the pris
myrzilka [38]

The volume of a rectangular prism is given by the multiplication of its three dimensions: if w, h, l are the width, height and length of the prism, the volume is

V = w\cdot h\cdot l

So, in your case, you have

V = \dfrac{3}{8} \cdot \dfrac{5}{8} \cdot \dfrac{7}{8} = \dfrac{3\cdot 5 \cdot 7}{8\cdot 8 \cdot 8} = \dfrac{105}{512}

Answer:

B and D

Step-by-step explanation:

Take a look at all the options x=4, 3, 1, 2 > 0

So, we just care about the domain where x>0, which is f(x)=x^{2}.

Then plug in x we will have the right answer.

The first three terms of a sequence are given. Round to the nearest thousandth (if necessary).
BaLLatris [955]

Answer:

a₆ ≈ 25.284

Step-by-step explanation:

There is a common ratio between consecutive terms , that is

8 ÷ 6 = \frac{32}{3} ÷ 8 = \frac{4}{3}

This indicates the sequence is geometric with nth term

a_{n} = a₁ r^{n-1}

where a₁ is the first term and r the common ratio

Here a₁ = 6 and r = \frac{4}{3} , then

a₆ = 6 × (\frac{4}{3}) ^{5} = 6 × \frac{1024}{243} = \frac{6(1024)}{243} ≈ 25.284 ( to the nearest thousandth )
