The Parthenon was a Classical Greece religious Temple located in Athens. It has survived to some point to this day, because a significant part of the original structure remains as an archeological site.

The borders. It was based and developed on the idea that the cotton producing and other "Goods States" had more value with slaves. Abolishing slavery would in turn take its toll on the states.
