Because a pH of 7 is neutral, we can eliminate answer B.

A pH of 8-14 is a base, and a pH of 1-6 is an acid, meaning that C and D aren't right.

Because a solution with a pH of 14 falls into the right category of being a strong base, A seems to be the right answer!

B can be cross out because 7 is considered neutral.
C is also wrong because it should be lower to become more acidic.
D is also wrong because the anything above 7 is basic.

So A  is your answer, hope it helped :D
