A bullet is fired horizontally from a handgun at a target 100.0 m away. If the initial speed of the bullet as it leaves the gun

is 300.0 m/s, how far vertically will the bullet have dropped by the time it hits the target? Ignore the effects of air resistance.

Answer:

The bullet will have been dropped vertically h= 0.54 meters by the time it hits the target.

Explanation:

d= 100m

V= 300 m/s

g= 9.8 m/s²

d= V*t

t= d/V

t= 0.33 s

h= g*t²/2

h=0.54 m

What is the net charge of a copper atom if it gains 2 electrons?
Alex_Xolod [135]
If an atom gains electrons, it develops a negative charge equal to the number of electrons gained.
So the net charge on the copper atom which gained 2 electrons will be -2.

I need help with this physics question.
Bumek [7]

The acceleration will increase by 61.3%.

Explanation:

The centripetal acceleration a_c is given by

a_c = \dfrac{v^2}{r}

If the velocity of the object increases by 27.0%, then its new velocity v' becomes

v' = 1.270v

The new centripetal acceleration a'_c becomes

a'_c = \dfrac{(1.270v)^2}{r} = 1.613 \left(\dfrac{v^2}{r} \right)

\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:= 1.613a_c
