Answer:

Bob is 10.1 miles away from his home.

Step-by-step explanation:

Bob ran course had three stages. On the first one he ran away from his home by a distance of 14.6 miles since he went away from his home the signal of this stage will be positive, on the second one he ran towards his home by a distance of 9.8 miles in this case he got closer to home than on his first stage, so the signal of this stage will be negative, on the last stage he ran away from his home by a distance of 5.3 miles, so the signal will be positive.

Distance from his home = stage1 - stage2 + stage1

Distance from his home = 14.6 - 9.8 + 5.3 = 10.1 miles

Add the following rational number =<br> 3/11 and -5/12
tatiyna

Answer:

-19/132

Step-by-step explanation:

To add fractions, find the lowest common multiple of the two denominators and multiply accordingly to make both denominators the same. In this case, the lowest common multiple of 11 and 12 is 132, so we need to multiply the first number by 12 and the second by 11. So we get \frac{36}{132} + (-\frac{55}{132} ) = \frac{36-55}{132}=\frac{-19}{32}-\frac{19}{132}
