Realist writers are really into describing, analyzing, and dramatizing personality. They delve deep into their characters' psychologies and dig into their motivations, actions, and emotions. also Realistic fiction or writing may devote more description to work or labor compared to Romanticism, which does not typically represent toil or everyday labor, and elevates conflicts to issues of honor, heart, dignity, responsibility, or heroism rather than the everyday encounter and resolution of technical or material

hope this helps

Realism is a movement in art, which started in the mid nineteenth century in France, and later spread to the entire world. Realism entered literature at almost at the same time. Its real objective was to root out what is called fantastic and romantic in literature and art, to insert what is real.
