Plants and animals could not live without nitrogen. It is an important part of many cells and processes such as amino acids, proteins, and even our DNA. It is also needed to make chlorophyll in plants, which plants use in photosynthesis to make their food and energy. Unfortunately, human activity has altered the cycle.

Answer:

Nitrogen is required by all living organisms.

Explanation:

All organisms from bacteria, to plants, and even humans obtain our nitrogen, either directly or indirectly, via the nitrogen cycle.

The nitrogen cycle describes how nitrogen is converted from N₂, to ammonia/ammonium, which is then converted to nitrates and nitrites, and can even be denitrified back into atmospheric nitrogen.

There are many reasons that the nitrogen cycle is needed. The most important reason is that humans and plants cannot assimilate atmospheric nitrogen, they can only be absorbed in the form of nitrogen containing compounds (nitrates and nitrites). Once it has been assimilated by plants (where humans then consume nitrogen by eating plants), the nitrogen in the compounds is used to build up many other compounds in our bodies, such as amino acids, proteins, and even DNA and RNA contains nitrogen based compounds.

The death cap mushroom, Amanita phalloides, contains several dangerous substances, including -amanitin. This toxin is a potent
Ne4ueva [31]

Answer:

Poisoning caused by the mushrooms like by eating Amanita phalloides can lead to the death of the organism after a few days. The chemical α- amanitin causes serious problems to humans as it shows its effect by inhibiting the RNA polymerase II enzyme which acts during the formation of mRNA.

If mRNA will not be formed, therefore the process of protein synthesis will not take place as a result, all the cellular processes will be halted and the organism will die.

The organisms do not die frequently after consumption of the mushroom instead dies few days only when the α- amanitin starts showing its effect on the liver and kidney and the liver and the kidney fails to perform their work.

Since the liver and kidney fails after a few days by the chemical α- amanitin, therefore, the organism dies after a few days.

The graph below depicts the frequency of expression of the range of leg lengths in a population of crickets:
Ilia_Sergeevich [38]

The correct answer is option:

The peak of the bell curve has shifted to the right, with a greater frequency of crickets with long legs and a lower frequency of crickets with short legs.

The given condition would lead the directional selection of the crickets with long legs. Directional selection leads to shifting of curve in one direction, which is more suitable.

The crickets with short leg get easily caught by predators, so, after sometime, there would be a decrease in number of the crickets with short leg. At the same time, the crickets with long leg would manage to save themselves and their number would comparatively increased.
